The essence of "Afterimage" lies in the continuous exchange and decoding of data, which goes beyond mere technical execution to become the central inspiration for the artists.
Philosophy
In this creative process, modern communication tools—wires, routers, antennas, satellites—become the messengers of a language we don't fully understand. Yet, if one listens closely, there is a sense of meaning, as though the signals are whispering words just beyond our grasp.
Performance
At the core of "Afterimage" is a proprietary instrument/system that merges visual programming with modular sound synthesis. The interaction between sound and image is governed by feedback loops, allowing for dynamic changes and interactions that evolve organically throughout the performance. The artists emphasize the development of a shared language and fluid interaction between the two media, pushing the boundaries of traditional audiovisual experiences.
